SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 24
(By Senators Chafin, Wagner and Plymale)
Congratulating Buffalo High School girls' basketball team for
winning the state Class AA championship.
Whereas, The Buffalo High School girls' basketball team
participated in and won the 1993 Class AA championship; and
Whereas, The Buffalo High School girls' basketball team
ended the 1993 season with nineteen wins and seven losses; and
Whereas, Head coach Gene Hiroskey and his assistants,
Sherlene Hiroskey and Jim Pratt, take great pride in leading
their team to victory; and
Whereas, The athletic ability and outstanding sportsmanship
of Stacey Lambert, Bari Staley, Amy Thompson, Sara Tomblin, Staci
Wilson, Claudia Gilkerson, Missy Lemons, Kim McKinney, April
Haynie, Andrea Lambert and Amy Maynard helped to make winning the
state Class AA championship a reality; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Buffalo High School girls' basketball team is
hereby congratulated for an outstanding 1993 basketball season
and for winning the state Class AA championship; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to
forward a copy of this resolution to Head coach Gene Hiroskey,
his coaching staff and to each member of the Buffalo High Schoolgirls' basketball team.
